Auto box sport mode - result! - Page 2

Booked mine in for Tuesday next week to get this installed - no questions, other than how I found out about it and why I wanted it.

Price is £15 for software and estimate 30 mins labour, yet to be determined.

Hopefully I will be able to tell you Tuesday that it has worked

Should be....try moving the shifter to the right from the D position. My LHD T6 has it

Hmm. When I move into the shift gate it just displays the current gear.

MY10 (Sept) D5 SE Lux

Well, I had my car booked into Squire Furneaux, I arrived at 08:00 this morning to have the upgrade done and at 09:00 I got the keys back from a very confused Service Manager.

His confusion was down to the fact that I already have this software installed on the car and the Volvo system refused to install it again (fairly sensible

).

The net result is that my car is exactly the same as it was before, no sports mode, and it is most definitely a MY10 vehicle on a 59 plate. If anyone else tries can the let the forum know what the result is, all I know is that it hasn't worked for me

WRM07, what plate is you car on please? I asked before - you may have missed the Post.

That is disappointing. It confirms the earlier advice that it can not be done on our model car.

I will continue to hold my breath in faint hope until Thursday when mine goes in for its service.

Sorry, missed your earlier request and now away from home and beloved XC60, but will advise more info on my return in a few weeks.

I spoke to another dealer today (Cambridge, Petersfield) and they said it wouldn't work so I have also mailed Volvo Customer Services to ask them about whether this can/cannot be installed and what it will do if it is installed.

Cambridge said that they cannot install anything that is not on the Volvo master system. I guess that installing anything not approved would invalidate the warranty

Will wait and see what VCS say, hopefully they will say yes but at the moment computer says no.
