Wow. I only paid £10.5k for my 64 plate SELux with 28k miles 4 years ago.

The great news for me is I've got a new car being delivered next month (finally!) so it looks like I've had some cheap motoring over the last 4 years.

The whole world has gone nuts, I bought a 6 year old Honda CR-V last year, and 8k miles later it's worth more than I paid for it!

If I wanted to buy my car again now I'll have to pay 33% more than I did in May 2021

Picked the car up yesterday, what a pleasure to drive. Same owner from new, serviced every 3k which was about their annual mileage so its almost been over serviced! The last service in July last year was an eye watering £1,750, that included cam belt, front and rear discs and pads and front control bar links. Booked in for Feb 7 to have some minor body work done. So far chuffed!

Exactly, like I say, I'm glad it was someone else's bill!

I do the Meerkat every year for car insurance quotes, and 2 years running its valued my XC90 at a higher price than the previous year. Madness.

It makes you wonder how far it will go before it crashes.
Anyway, I'm really pleased to be back behind the wheel of a Volvo, it just feels so solid.
