Default EGR Delete for V70R 250bhp engine Phase 1

Okay I may have raised this in the past but can't locate the post (if i already did so).

Can someone with a 1997 - 1999 Volvo V70R (250bhp) Manual/Auto containing either the B5234T3 or T4 confirm whether or not there is a Secondary Airpump fitted to the engine? I know that there isn't one in the V70 awd 2.5t 193BHP so this is really a confirmation query for the 2.3T block.

In the 855 AWD 2.5T (193bhp) there was one but don't see the corresponding loom wiring connector on the V70R engine loom.

If in fact the V70R engine (1997-199) does not have a 2ndary pump does this mean that there is subsequently no EGR valve set up behind the turbo unit which is connected in the 855 AWD to the exhaust downpipe.

I'd appreciate any advice/pictures if possible and on whether or not its' quicker just put a blanking plate on the base of the egr valve that is currently attached to the exhaust.

cheers Bren

No, there wasn't one fitted on my 850 T5-R and from what I've seen so far there isn't one fitted to my 98 V70R either. Only ever seen an airpump on a 960.

Thanks Gentlemen.

If one of you has a chance could you, if at all possible, post a photo up of how the down pipe looks?

I want to see if the exhausts have a covering nut where the EGR exhaust piping is screwed on to the exhaust.

Many thanks

Bren
