850 damp starting problem
I have an M-reg 850 2.0 SE estate. It's a superb vehicle to drive, and I'm very pleased with its performance, except that on three separate occasions in the last year it has failed to start.
On each occasion it was damp, and the engine fired and then died immediately. I'm then left with the well known (and well documented - what an excellent Forum!) 850 problems of tappets open and ECU confused.
Has anyone else experienced a damp-related starting problem? Or can anyone recommend a good cure - do those spray sealants really work?!
