Default c70 2.4GT.. boost question etc

Hi guys, just read a post regarding a manual boost controller..

I have about 5 of these in the garage as i sell alot of performance parts for Jap cars etc... (Just because i sell them, doesnt mean i know alot about them

What sort of power gain could i see if i use a MBC?... also, what is the safe limit on the boost pressure?.

I dont want huge power as the car is a front wheel drive for obvious reasons... just a little more would do... as i am used to a highly tuned lexus (to which i am selling) and am missing the power...

thanks in advance

Scott

Hi

Is your car ME7 (after 98-99) ? If so, a MBC will not work, as the ECU will pull back boost.

HTH a bit

Chris

afraid not, ME7 actually measures boost & will throw a warning light if its higher than what it expects

Right I know nothing about the C70 so this may be a stupid reply!!! On mine i have bypassed the boost soloniod so it don't throw an over boost fault, can you not do this with the C70??

no thats how i've done it on mine, ME7's measures the boost it should be & if its running more than that it will throw a CEL light & go it into limp home (& being fly-by-wire i assume won't give you much throttle to keep the boost down)
