B200E, before this I ran a 740 GLT B230E. I do miss the extra cc, but to be fair the 200E does the job ok. I did an electric fan conversion, Magnecor leads, bottle of Moly in the sump/box/axle, K&N filter, Jetex exhaust full system with Jetex Cat etc so it pulls nicely and if I stay between 50 & 65mph can easily get 37mpg over the week on the commute. If I start doing 70-80 on the motorway then the mpg soon drops to 34-35. I have had 38 on one occasion! I check this by brimming the tank and resetting the trip meter each fill, which at this mileage is at least once a week, often twice. Eg the last fill was 36.6 litres and 302miles.
With the 740 I was happy if I got 26mpg, but then I was only doing around 50 mile per week local. Bit different now I'm doing 350 -400!

I thought I spotted a white 240 saloon through the driving rain in Chester yesterday afternoon but then realised it was an E registered 144. Quite a distinctive looking car as it had a black bonnet on it. Dave

A K registered white estate yesterday morning on the A51 coming out of Chester. Car looked to be in good condition and was driven by a lady. Not seen this one before I don't think. Dave

Yesterday I waved to an F-reg dark blue 240 saloon whilst I was driving the opposite direction along the Yapton - Littlehampton bus-route. If it was you, I was also in an F-reg dark blue 240, but mine was a dirty estate.....

Are you a lister here?
