Default Driveline slop

My 960 manual seems to have a slack in the driveline, if you change gear and accelerate hard the car almost bounces as you feed on the power, I know the engine mounts are OK but wonder maybe if the rubber doughnut in the prop might be worn, has anyone had similar symptoms?

I had something similar on my 760 when the Nivos were shot. In short, they were giving little or no damping so as the power went on and the back went down in reaction, the springs would bring it back up then down again with the power and instead of this movement being damped by the Nivos, just kept going - like being on a road-going version of the Herald of Free Enterprise!

Might pay to change the springs to standard ones and fit standard dampers on the back end, especially if the back end sits noticeably low.

My nivos are on their last legs so that might make sense, it's a mk2 but I've got a pair of coilovers from my last 960 so will try those, thanks

The 960 prop does not have the rubber coupling like the 940.

It could be the support bearing knocking or worn UJ's but the engine/gearbox mounts is the first thing I would consider
