240GL automatic for sale - good orginal condition

Volvo 240 GL estate, automatic.
1990 car, two owners from new,
Full and complete service history.
104,000 miles.
Colour : Metallic blue.
Taxed and MoT’d – ready to drive away.

In good ‘untouched’ original condition: Stored in a car port all its life and local use only for the last 10 years. The Interior is very clean, including the boot: The engine bay exceptional. New exhaust rear section and battery fitted at last MoT.

Very few negatives: Rear wheel arched starting to rust through due to lack of cleaning up inside. Otherwise rot free with only very slight surface rust underneath. Two bits of chrome trim missing from the rear bumper. The paint work is showing its age in places. Oh yes - The plastic handbrake surround is cracked. That’s it :-)

Comes with original Volvo boot liner – which is not currently fitted. Tow bar fitted but very little used.

This car is owned by an elderly couple who have had it for 20 years. Only selling because the wife no longer drives. They would like this car to ‘go to a good home’. I am a friend of theirs and a classic car enthusiast: A Volvo enthusiast would really appreciate this car.

After discussion with the owner, we have dropped the asking price to OFFERS OVER £700. This number reflects the new exhaust etc.

Interesting to say the least. Looks rather nice.
Im not in a position to buy (potentially) for up to a month and even then, dependant on other factors, but is there a chance of some interior shots in the meantime?
Is this an easy restoration/upkeep job as I no longer have access to a garage large enough for anything more than general upkeep etc?

The only thing that really needs any attention at all are the rear wheel arches - these are only just starting to bubble through. Also you will need to find two replacement trim parts for the rear bumper. That really is it.

Should also add that the car has central locking and a professionally fitted alarm system.

Ower is in no rush to sell but will probably accept the first sensible offer.
