Default Remap????

Hello,

A quick question and possible favour.

I've got a Euro 3 163 V70, geartronic with 130,000 on the clock.

I love the car for the family, but do envy my fathers 330d for shear oomph.

I'm considering an MTE remap, is this a stupid option given the miles and the gearbox? Had the AW slushbox changed, and the car runs really well.

Whilst I know 330d performance isn't going to happen, I'm not looking for a sports car, I've an S2000 for sunny days, but just a bit more power when on A roads and motorways for overtaking.

Also, would love to see what difference it makes, so looking for a member with a remapped car I can ride in the passenger seat to feel the difference. Based in north London, N1.

Any advice or help really appreciated.

Is your car at its peak right now?
What are your current max fuel rail and boost pressures?

You can buy an ELM327 dongle for about a fiver and use an app Torque Pro.
Until you know for certain your car is tip top, I wouldn't consider any upgrade. You may find a few bits of easy maintenance get it running well enough factory standard.
If diagnostics show your car is A1 and you still want more power then by all means go for it.
