Spoke to my dealership yesterday - my dealer agent had actually left and they didn't bother to update me.

On the plus side, I've been told mid-June for delivery.

With Homelink that is the second time they do that the year I get to order my new car. Quite miffed about that.

Thank you. Anyone know why they discontinued Homelink? It wouldn't have been any use to me personally, but I would have thought it was quite a nice option to have for people that had kit which worked with that system?

Mine's also due next month but the dealer lets me have (when asked) a copy of the 'Vista' internal order printout which shows key dates (e.g. planned build date, factory complete date, planned date to UK/Irish port, etc). My T8 is due in the build this week (tomorrow's date) with a date to port of 2 June. Most of the dates have been brought forward than originally planned, though the 'current planned delivery date' is the same at 19/6. If it does get into the port on 2 June, my bet is I'll get a call saying it'll be delivered to dealer earlier, but we'll see. For me, it's a good way to see what's going on, since the 'My Volvo' site went downhill recently. With these dates in mind, I'll know when to ask for an updated print, to hopefully see some 'actual' dates posted for my car.

The Vista print, 3 full pages for mine, also shows exact spec. and options for the car. I can't think of a reason for the dealer to withold the info., unless they are just being unhelpful.

I asked my dealer to email me a copy of the factory order which he did and good job too as the wrong wheels had been input to the factory system even though the dealer's system showed the correct spec. Seems that the two systems are not linked electronically.

So I've received the bad news I feared - the car seems to have gone into build without the Head Up Display.

I've got a call with the branch manager later this afternoon - but if he is unable to get the last minute change in, then what are my options?

Oof, sorry to hear that.

I'll be surprised if your local branch have enough clout to get something like that changed this late in the day. Realistically I think they'll either have to put a new order in for you, meaning new wait time, or they may have an order already in their queue that isn't assigned to a customer which they could hijack to jump you up the queue.

But both are still going to mean a longer wait, and I'd hope they'd offer you some kind of incentive to keep you happy while you're waiting.

All of this is guesswork on my part, mind.

Just spoke to another agent as the branch manager was not available and he confirms it does have the HUD. Both Vista and the build sheet have been checked.

The first agent apparently did not expand the Vista view correctly.

Phew. That's great news. I've been loving the HUD, really nice feature to have.
