v70 t5. 2000 (Xreg) few issues.
Hi everyone. Im new here and just bought my first volvo. Its a v70 t5 estate auto. Looking for some advice on a few bits.
The key is stiff in ignition and takes some wiggling to turn the key, also yhe fob dowsnt always work to unlock and lock. Yet the key does lock and unlock fine. The radio says off.. heard that if I leave key on second position wiyh it saying off on radio for two hours it will come and then ask for code. Would this drain the battery? I do have an aftrr market stereo id like to fit.. would I just need a new iso wire? the service lights comes on and then goes off. The engine light is also on. Was told after the battery got replaced these lights came on. Just had mot and had no advisories. How can I take the light off? Do you hold the reset button? Thanks in advance. |

Who ever told you that was either thick or lying.
You need to get the car scanned for fault codes and reset to clear the check engine light, it is possible it will go out itself IF the fault that caused it to come on is fixed. As for service interval you can reset that using the controls in the car, see Here for actual procedure. Radio should be a simple swap out using an ISO converter cable, you generally need the surround panel as well or the dash ends up with holes in it - Mike |
