S60 2.0T DIM issues

In a nutshell, my DIM is working/failing intermittently so last year I bought a new one on eBay. I was supplied with the blue upgrade DIM for the S60R which requires a different multi plug connection on the end of the harness that plugs into the back of the DIM. Can anyone tell me if I could get the blue DIM to work if I found the multi plug and harness? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. I have a 2003 S60 2.0T petrol engine, manual transmission, car is currently not modified from manufacturing standard

I doubt it , It's all about software the DIM is coded to each car so it knows what the car has and the car knows it's got the correct DIM .. there are only about 5 wires going into the DIM , :

power feed
Earth
Parking brake switch
Two Network communication wires

I would get your DIM repaired , often its a cracked solder joint due to the heat build up and cooling cycles over a long period of time .
