My first thought was oh my god they've given it the lights off a Vauxhall And the line over the front wheel reminds me of a Seat. The passenger mirror looks like it's just part of the drawing - you can see the body work through it. The boot looks very short too but it's hard to tell from the picture.
But if it looks half as good as the promise this shows then I'm definitely interested. I've put the picture from Bob's post up as my wallpaper at the moment and I'm liking it more and more. Any idea on size - I thought I saw a reference somewhere that it was smaller than the current car? Tony |

Steve Mattin... what a talent. Since the XC60 and C30 concepts both came out looking very similar in production, I've hope this will follow suit. What a stunning car.
I was a bit sceptical about the increase in size of the iron symbol at first, but it's grown on me to the point where I love its boldness. It's always been one of the best looking and most striking logos out there, why not show it properly to the world. |

Rip s60
Went into my local dealer this morning to have a look at the XC60. Never been approached by so many salesmen at once! They're expecting a new S60 late next year - apparently it's no longer possible to order the current S60 (since about a month ago) and production will cease in January once orders are fulfilled. So bang goes my big idea of getting one of the last!

Problem is getting one to my spec as Volvo is no longer taking production line orders...but it's a moot point as wasn't planning to change until 2010 anyway...hey ho!

I do like the look of the new S60 but if history repeats itself may be worth waiting for the September 2013 facelift (provided they don't screw with the headlight access again).
Reading about the Swedish government stepping in all admirable stuff but can't help wonder where this is all going ? If no one has the cash or access to credit to buy the cars what is the point in Government shoring them up ? Looking at figures, Volvo down 6.x% on twelve months ago, and Ford only down 11.x% looks very favourable compared with Honda down 42.x%, BMW over 40% to name a few... It looks like this is the breaking point. Just a few years ago "analysts" were predicting a handfull of manufacturers would survive. Even Toyota have lost their AAA status.
