Default Vida / Dice in Scotland?

Hi All,

Is there anyone in Scotland with a Vida/Dice that would be able to reset my EOLYS counter now that I've had the tank filled?

I live in the Borders but happy to travel to wherever is convenient to get it done.

I found a map of Vida/Dice users that showed Jules_V70R had one near Edinburgh, but I don't have enough posts to contact him/her directly via PM :-(

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'll be in Scotland in September but not before!

It might be worth asking on the general discussion thread rather than within S40/V50 etc.

I'm in Fife and work in Edinburgh if that helps. I have a VIDA/DICE setup.

Awesome, thanks. When would be a good time for me to pop over? I could do next Saturday if that suits?

Replied by PM. I won't know what I'm doing that Saturday until 24-48hrs before I'm afraid.

Hi there
I am new to the world of Volvo ownership and now have two XC60's (2009 and 2013). I will not be using a dealer for servicing so wondered if you were able to re-set the various service messages that I am anticipating.

Both are 2.4 diesels, the older one has just started promoting that I might want to schedule a service and I have been unable to re-set this following any of the Google options I have tried.

Are these things you would be able to assist with? I am in Falkland.
Unable to PM as I am new to the forum.
Cheers, Sandy

Sorry, just seen this. P1 Volvos have a procedure to reset the service indicator without needing the VIDA diagnostic software. Looks like XC60s are the same:

A YouTube search gives the answer.

Hi, I have tried a number of the YouTube instructions for re-setting, but none of them have worked so far. I will re-try the one you have posted to see if it makes any difference.
I also have a "fill washer bottle" message (the washer is full...) and an engine service required light (which I think has been caused by putting the correct full amount of oil in at the last service. I have removed some of the oil but can't re-set this message either.
I may look into buying a vida/dice setup to see if it works for these messages.
Cheers

Hi

The method you posted worked for the service reminder, but both of the other messages are still with me.
Thanks for the assistance.
Cheers
Sandy
