White 1990 240 DL Estate for spares or repair.

1990 240 DL manual estate in Polar White with B230K and 4 speed gearbox. Located SE London.

Vehicle has been SORN’d for several years but has no panel damage and is missing only a door mirror glass, otherwise complete and as original. Interior extras include load cover, 7 seat option, headrest cushions, floor trays – all fitted from new, later type flush glass tailgate window.

One owner vehicle with 136K miles, in use until the heater blower failed – just after a new (Volvo) exhaust system, water pump, timing belt and tensioner, distributor cap and leads, plugs, wiring harness through tailgate hinges, filters and various other service items had been fitted. However due to lack of use the clutch has become seized and it would not start at the last attempt, so will need to be trailered away, and fuel gauge does not seem to work. The lower panel in the tailgate opening (on which the catch mounts) has rusted through – no other panel rust but have not checked floor/sills or behind the bumpers.

Interior very good condition for age but DL basic spec, carpets protected from new by floor trays, drivers seat worn by use but otherwise all seats intact and rear headrests present.

Car has value as scrap/parts and offered for spares or repair – reasonable offers please for complete vehicle.

Now less the load cover - any offer considered.

Also now available Sorned 1991 red 240 GL saloon, B200F M47, Virgo alloys, extra gauges (vacuum, volts, oil pressure, o/s temp) - all ok but small clock not working. Various minor mechanical issues and dash lights not working.

Scrap value when I last enquired was around 180 GBP each - but I would have removed the alloy wheels from the saloon. To let both go with the virgo alloys and a spare set of winter wheels I'd be hoping to get around 500 GBP, but might take an offer.

The estate would require a fair amount of TLC to see it back in use, whereas the saloon is a more viable prospect for getting on the road again.

I'm on the SE London/Kent border near the M25.

Hi mate I'm after a few bit of the engine if you can sell me them? I'm in london too. Its a airflow mixture screw for the inlet manifold and fuel return line plastic casing that bolts to the carb.?? could i get ur number if so? mine is 07515659908 Thanks Tom.
