V50 routine service light
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reset the V50 service light without going to a volvo dealer. I have had the car serviced out with volvo and i am being estimated a charge in excess of £40 to turn of the routine service warning message that appears.
Any response gratefully received. Elfie |

Follow this link and the fourth or fifth post tells you how.
http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=31704 How much cheaper was the service outside of the dealer? The only reason I'm staying in with them for the next couple is if any software upgrades come out. I noticed after the last one that the menu's on the display unit were updated so it got me thinking that some other things may have changed as "improvements" were developed. |

V50 - service light successfully reset
Many thanks for your response.
I have since successfully reset the service reminder light on the dashboard computer by following the links you mentioned. To reset the sequence included 1) Turn key to pos 1. 2) Press and hold trip 1 reset button, wait for the odometer to set to zero. 3) Turn key to pos 2 for approximately 5-10 secs. 4) The warning message should have dissapeared Worked for me. |
