Headlamp wiper blades.
Does anyone know if you can get refills for the 240 headlamp wipers.
Mine work fine, but one has just lost the wipery bit of the blade, just leaving the rubber backing. Anything fit, cos its an odd section, or is it a visit to the stealers?

Visit to stealership but not a silly price about a tenner a blade if my memory serves me correctly.

Headlamp wiper blades.
I,ve renewed both headlamp wiper blades and the plastic clips on my 240. They are not expensive and can be obtained from the main dealers.

hi
Hi Alec,
I've seen a couple of pairs on ebay recently I think they went for £10 pair. In the past I made up a pair by carefully measuring and cutting a normal blade and then fitting them into the holder. hope this helps brendan

I just use the generic refills that cost about £2.50 for a pair. They will do any length wiper blades up to 20" so you just cut them right down. This changes the blades only, you reuse the original carrier.

I have on occasions just cut saved old windscreen wiper blades to length (I knew there would be a reason for keeping them) and fitted them to the headlamp wipers. They work ok with the plastic headlamp protectors I have fitted but probably work better direct onto the headlamp glass.

Yup, likewise here, I just cut down some old windscreen refills to make a perfectly acceptable replacement.

I had thought of cutting down a refil, but the blade seems to be a very small section, and the bit that fits in the little hooky bits on the metal blade holderis (on a 'standard' blade) far too big for the clips?

I put new blades on just the other day. Bought the rubber refils from Halfords, cut them to size and they fit with no problems.

I got some from my local motor factor with new conectors blades and rubbers both sides for less than a £10. There not volvo but only a geek like me would spot the difference and they work great :-)
