Default Another ticking noise

Hi,

I'm new to the forum having just bought a 1999 v40 2.0t. I'm also the proud owner of a 54 plate clio 182 cup in racing blue.

I have a couple of issues with the V40

I have two distinct ticking noises coming from the dash. The first is passenger side and from using the Search function it would appear to be the air recirc problem. No problems.

The second I cannot find a solution to. Basically from the drivers side I have a constant ticking sound as if the indicators are still on, only slightly quieter and quicker...this abnormal ticking stops when indicators/hazards are in use.

Hope somebody can help.....many thanks.

Seat belt warning relay? I`m not familier with the model personally but it could be that the relay is wired for some kind of multiple use. I`m certain somebody else can confirm if I`m wrong.

The ticking of a relay would normally be highlighted by a warning light flashing too, maybe a bulb out somewhere as well.

So should my car be making this noise with the seat belt unplugged? Or is it a faulty relay?

Many thanks for the replies,

yep if you dont have the seat belt plugged in ( drivers side only i think) you will get the noise and the warning light flashing.
