Default D4 oil leaks

Just wondering if anyone has experienced oil leaks on there SPA cars with the D4 engine ?

I noticed a smell from it after a short journey yesterday. I didn't think it was regen related so took the engine cover off today to have a look around.

Noticed some oil around the back of the cam/valve cover.

Doing a quick search, it looks like it may be a replacement valve cover that it required at an eye watering cost.

A little disappointed to say the least on a 4 year old car with 45k on it.

My 18 year old S60 seems to have done better....

A four year old car with average mileage should not leak oil in my opinion.

It may be out of warranty but I would say the above to the dealer and ask them to ask Volvo for a contribution towards the cost.

I actually did do this when mine was around four years old and was found to have a weep from the rocker/cam cover gasket for which a repair was costed at £800. Zero goodwill was offered. It still has that slight weep...

Hey guys,

So it was my original post about D4 oil leak.
I phone 2 different main dealers here in Kent and was actually surprised they had different prices for changing Rocker/Valve cover gasket, in Canterbury they asked me £788 and in Maidstone £600 so obviously I went to Maidstone Volvo.
Other guys advised me to ask goodwill team to contribute towards repair cost, but I was very sceptical about it as my car already had double the warranty miles (120K) but guess what, they did contribute towards cost and I end up paying £300 for it.
