  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

You are looking for the arrow when you are in the "wrong" gear?

It is not there in normal driving conditions.

I have a manual MY12 Drive, and whatever gear is selected always shows as a number between the speedo and rev counter.

But do you get an arrow if you stay in a low gear and do not change up?

No - I've managed to drive 24K miles without it (without staying in 1st gear all the way!), but I was just trying to be helpful in responding to the OP's question about this function.

Honda have similar system in some of their cars. It can somestimes surprise youwhen it tells you to change gear. It is there purely to get the maximum economy out of the engines
