they look good on audi's because they're designed for audi's. they wouldn't look good on an XC60 as volvo haven't designed such lights for it. you'll just end up looking like a boy (girl) racer! you'll be one step away from UV lighting under the car and a big spoiler! ;o)

by the way, take a look at the back of the car. you've got some exquisitely designed LED DRL's there - purpose built by volvo for every XC60. ;o)

Once again, the LEDs on the front of the XC60 are NOT DRLs, they are parking lights - that is why they are on in the 1 position - that is for parking.

The DRLs on Volvos are the dipped beam headlight (xenon or halogen)

Look, don't get me wrong, I'm on your side. I have been dreaming of owning a Volvo for quite some time and came very close to buying a XC90 while ago. But don't really need such a large car so this one is just the thing for me.
We have test drove an Audi Q5 (which my hubby preferred) but went ahead with the XC60, which was mainly my decesion.

I just always liked the led 'spot' day running lights. My brother in law has it on his Vauxhall Insignia, I saw it on many others makes even a Ford Fiesta so can't see why couldn't Volvo have it.....
I suspect they have just taken the decision to not follow the crowd on that front (no pun intended).

Be happy that you'll have far more interesting rear lights

...as opposed to the Audi and as people will be viewing you from behind more, surely this is a bigger bonus

Can't disagree with that Superbenj, our lights are fantastic to look at IMO, I've had many comments to that effect too.

Love the picture

Personally I think that if you add any more lights in addition to the LED's already there and the "always on" dipped beam you might need to consider upgrading your alternator!!

I don't like the way Audi's light arrangement obscures the indicators during they day, especially the rears, VWs are the same. The quality of the lights was one of the many things that I checked out before purchase. See and be seen is what I like xc60 does just that.

sorry to drag this thread out again, but something hit me (metaphorically) when i was driving in the dark this evening. its how many people check out the lights on the front of the car when it's stopped. i thought there was something wrong with them, so i got out and checked myself. it was then i realised what it was. they just look really good.

Not what he's talking about. Those are parking lights (see other posts here). Use your dipped headlights as running lights, they are plenty bright enough. Also a bit of punctuation would make your posts easier to read

Why would you want to de-face your volvo?

Each to their own I suppose - good luck with it.
yes they would look cheap and tacky on an XC60 , volvo are subtle not in your face ...
