Er...I thought all XC60 had LED DRL's either side of the front grill. Are you sure you have an XC60?

Default led running daylights

well.... I'm pretty sure that's what I've bought. It's not with me yet. I should be taking delivery of it towards the end of this month.

I know it has running daylights but I'm pretty sure it's not the led 'dotted line' style lights. I'm talking the kind of lights which originally started on Audis R8 now it's across the range of Audis (I believe it comes standard from S line range onwards). You can get it as optional extra on other makes of cars but I was told Volvo does not do it.

Anybody knows what I'm talking about????

Yes I know what you mean... the LED lights on the XC60 are parking lights only. The Day Running Lights are the main headlight bulbs, that are on when the engine is running and the parking lights are not selected.

I have no idea if you can get the "Audi Style" DRL LED fitted to a Volvo I have not seen anything like that and I suspect it would not be simple to achieve but I don't know.

With no offence intended here but! Maybe you should have bought an Audi?
Why would you want to de-face your volvo?

Each to their own I suppose - good luck with it.

.....no offence taken.... I half expected to get that sort of reply from 'volvo owners club'.

Look, don't get me wrong, I'm on your side. I have been dreaming of owning a Volvo for quite some time and came very close to buying a XC90 while ago. But don't really need such a large car so this one is just the thing for me.
We have test drove an Audi Q5 (which my hubby preferred) but went ahead with the XC60, which was mainly my decesion.

I just always liked the led 'spot' day running lights. My brother in law has it on his Vauxhall Insignia, I saw it on many others makes even a Ford Fiesta so can't see why couldn't Volvo have it.....

In EU from February 2011 all new cars have to have LED daylights.
I have no idea how it will be resolved in XC60, but they should to do something to adapt this LED lights as daylights.
You will not be using Xenon lights during day. Instead of them you will use the LED lights to protect our environment.

The fairy lights that you see on cars these days are really annoying

The vertical LED DRL's either side of the grill are on all the time on my XC60, if the light switch is set to '0' the main xenons and the DRL are on, if it's set '1' the DRL's only are on. Having had 3 Audi's in the past, not cheap ones at that, and quite frankly sick to death of their ever decreasing customer service and the fact everyman and his dog now owns an Audi I'm quite happy with something a bit different. You should have bought the Q5 by the sound of it!
