Default Goodyear Assurance Wipers £7

Anyone tried these from Costco. They are supposed to fit the push and click style of the XC60 but for the life of me tonight I couldn't get the beggars on and had to admit defeat and take them back.

They look like a really good deal but if anyone has managed to get these fitted I'd appreciate the know how? (In my defence it was dark and cold and give up after 30 minutes of trying.)

TIA

I bought and used these on my previous VX Vectra SRI and to be honest they did a good job, the connection is a little bulky but they did what it said on the box and a lot cheaper than stealer prices.

On the VX they wwere a little stiff but once encouraged fited fine, I haven't checked the V70 fitting but would consider them when I need to change.

OK - Dragging up this old post as I have had these Goodyear Assurance wipers, had them for 6 months but not bothered to fit them till now.

I followed the instructions and used the correct fitting. I tried the instructions where it says to slide the fitting into the wiper arm first, then push clip in the wiper. I tried using the fitting and sliding the wiper into the arm in but failed as well.

I looked at the arm and can see in one side of the underside a little metal tab sticking out about 1mm - 1.5mm square that is blocking the fitment of these wipers. I thought this was just a spurious piece of metal but looking on both arms it seems to be a conscious design to force a particular type of fitment.

Anyone fit these wipers? I am half tempted to file down/remove that metal tab.

I looked at these wipers but realised they were not a standard fit even with the adapters supplied. I went to the Volvo parts guys at FRF and got all 3 wiper blades for my XC60 for £39.43 included the dreaded vat and postage. Delivered in 2 days and a standard fit.
