Default Tyre Inflation ' ECO ' pressure

Just wondered what owners thought and their experiences of suggested tyre inflation pressures with ECO and Normal ?

1 Do you notice a more bumpier ride with ECO pressure?

2 Do you notice much difference with fuel economy with ECO pressure ?

3 Any difference with tyre wear overall ?

4 What would you recommend ?

Ride was harder - and didn't make any difference to us as it's mainly urban driving with the associated acceleration and braking that drink the fuel.

For those who can do a more constant speed on smoother roads, I'd say its worth a punt.

Sounds like a cop out but the best idea would be for you to try the two settings for yourself. There are many factors that will influence what pressures are best suited to your circumstances. In terms of tyre wear I would suspect that the lower pressures may accelerate wear slightly quicker although I can't corroberate this theory. Personally I prefer the lower pressure settings because I have lower profile tyres and find it more comfortable. I have covered 17.5k now and the front tyres will be due for renewal at around 19k if current wear rates continue.
