We've had our manual T5 C70 since Jan 2020. I'm planning to keep it long term - My wife and I have really fallen for it.
The performance is definitely better than I expected. This version of the 2.3, even with the standard map is a tremendous engine. The handling is fine for the type of car I think. It's a really enjoyable drive on most roads. The scuttle shake just adds character. You definitely want a strut brace though. I'd definitely not compromise on getting the manual if you're looking at T5s. Insurance is ridiculously cheap. £140 this year with 4k miles (Aviva). Based on my last week, I would definitely recommend pre-emptively investing in VIDA to help debug the roof if it ever misbehaves.
