Default Small metal post in boot behind rear passenger seat

Hi all,

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this post but I’ve been unable to find it covered anywhere else on this forum / web.

I was cleaning the boot of my 2013 v60 and have discovered a small metal post under the lower boot liner, behind the driver’s side rear passenger seat.

Does anyone know what it is? It looks like it might be missing a part from the end.

I’ve tried to capture in the attached pics.

Many thanks,

Tom

Thanks - sorry mean the silver post to the right of the picture.

It’s screwed into a black box one end and has a hole on the other so looks like it might be missing a part.

It has a warning sticker “do not open, remove, or put into another vehicle” - will try to upload a close up pic

Yes, I understood what you meant. The rear middle seat belt goes into the right seat top and down to under the rear right seat/back there it is winded and the seat belt tensioner is the only part clearly visible.
