2007 S60 T5 SE 6 Speed Manual 76k ( Spotted on ebay)
Not mine, but spotted the below car on eBay and given how rare they are I thought somebody on here might be interested as its Manual T5 with low miles.

That's what I thought....and why is it on those wheels. Must have been brought by someone wanting comfort and the occasional use of the performance.

Strong money indeed but they are becoming harder to find.

Also it's an auto so at some point it's going to decide you need to fork out a fortune....not that a clutch and DMF are cheap for the manuals!

Those car buying sites are far from accurate for a more specialist vehicle like the one for sale. Years ago in about 2009 my 2003 S40 2.0T sport lux was written off...I was offered about £1200 for it so I rang up the assessor and asked him if he had a copy of the Glass' guide to look at the price for the specific model. 20 seconds later and I was offered £3k for it.
I suspect most of the car buying sites will be trying to offer the lowest price and simply rating the car as a 2.4 Turbo petrol, which not many people would want due to the consumption and tax. This will mean it wouldn't look like there was much resale value in it. Also as there are probably so few sales of a car with this spec It wouldn't know what to do. I'd say it's probably worth just about 4k if it's got full history, is spot on mechanically and has had a clutch/dmf done. Actually I'd knock 200 of for those alloys! |
