Panel air filter, K&N or Pipercross?
Decisions, decisions?
Which would you recommend? The same price, both direct panel replacements not cones, so which shall I go for? K&N or Pipercross

K&N, always used them, always will, they're built so much better than the foam thingies..

Why bother when it's just a waste of cash?

I'd echo the sentiments above - a waste of money, pure marketing hype like most "bolt on" performance mods.
Even if the performance filter flowed air better (which I doubt) a standard Volvo filter is more than capable of flowing all the air the engine could possibly need (unless of course you are producing HUGE horsepower). Time and time again, the motoring programmes on TV and multiple magazines have done back to back tests between performance filters and standard ones and shown no gains whatsoever. Regards John

Its a ten year old question. I highly doubt the OP cares anymore. Check dates, you lot.
