Default Locating a cabin filter cover for RHD XC90

I have recently acquired a 2008 XC90 that has a condensation problem so, following the posts on this site, I have looked to change the pollen filter.

Unfortunately when I got to it the cabin filter cover has been snapped so that it is just held in place with the front two screws. I have tried to locate a new cover but I can only find LHD covers P/N 31315056. Convinced it would be the same I bought a LHD one(!) but it doesn't fit as the moulded 'tube' is on the other side and won't seat correctly. I don't know what purpose the moulded tube serves as it appears to be blanked-off but it won't seat correctly.

I can't locate a part number for a RHD version of this cover - does anyone know what number this might be so that I can try to narrow down a google search for a supplier?

Thanks for any help!

Have you tried your local Volvo dealer? if its available they will be able to order the correct part.

Assuming you're in the UK, buy it from a wrecker. There's certainly no shortage of wrecks in stock, it's out of the sun, and Volvo's plastics seem fairly good quality.

Thanks for the help on this!

It was indeed part number 31315057 (#11) and I got it from a main dealer as suggested. I had assumed getting from a Volvo dealer would be expensive but it wasn't, less than £15 and it fits fine.

The exploded parts diagram is interesting as I am fairly sure I don't have part 27, 35 or 28. I am going back under the dashboard to take a look.

Are they not the screws and washers that hold the panel on?
