Default Wanted - V70 Dog Guard

Hi all. Just bought a 2008 V70 estate. It's still at the garage, not with me yet. I think it's last of the older model as opposed to earlier one of the latest (I'm not sure of the marks or model tears for them yet!).
I'm looking for an original dog guard please if anybody is looking to sell one in decent condition.

Also....if anyone has advice for the particular part number of it to help with searches that would be appreciated as there seems to be a few variations which I suppose depend upon model years(?)

Thanks

You are a p2 or p3 V70? But, looks like a late p2 or early p3. P2 ran from 2000 to 2008, the p3 2008 onwards roughly.
Look on eBay or Facebook market place one there for £50 for a p2 I noticed. Thing is, renowned for the retaining gas struts to fail frequently sadly. The old 245 and 745 era, they had a fixing in the roof then you pulled it down, new versions rely on a gas strut!
I personally would go for a Travall one. Very, very well made, never rattles either.
Sort your model type V70, then look around.
Good luck with the car.

Theres a possibility that it has the built-in "net" version that's attached to the back top of the back seats, it can be used with the seats up, or with the seats down so that the net is up right at the back of the front seats, i have it set like the latter for my 3 boys, its like a bungalow van lol and a very good option as long as they dont try to get through, mine do not, you can also still put some small items between the net and front seat in this position too, i have a 3 tier dog ramp that slots in nicely

My dogs loved the net, got through it before I had a chance to get in the driver seat. Love’m.

I think we have had swapped messages and ideas before on here, while ago. Yes, on FB, Trevor Hill, Scarfskerry, Caithness. We have 6 of the hairy critters, they are our life probably. 4 are re homes, 2 brothers from Spain, another one that went to the vet aged 4 to be destroyed, one that was too boisterous for it’s 2nd owner! He was a sod, bit me badly in first 24 hours! Had a lot of work to do on him, now 3 years later he is my devoted right hand man. The other two are brother and sister aged 5 tomorrow we had as pups. Phew, a few. Volvo V70 p2 import from Japan, still less than 10k miles on the clock. Purchased prior to lockdown and has been nowhere just about! Oh well, keep it dusted!

Thanks for the info to each of you on here. After a bit more study today it turns out that I have a P3 and sourced a Volvo dog guard through gumtree (well, Mrs Shrewsred has) for a reportedly 'good price'(!) whatever that may be. She did ask about quality of the gas struts and they are supposedly in good shape.

I suppose I'll find out in a week when car and dog guard turn up. Wish me luck.

I'm certain that I'll be spending lots of time on here picking all of your brains for advice and info in coming weeks.

Again, thanks all!
