Default Battery decal

Looking through my owners book for the 850 I saw a 'Battery OK' decal stuck onto one of the pages. My feeling is it was put in the book when new and never fitted to the car, so I carefully peeled it from the vinyl and stuck in onto the rear near side window

Why not?

Although I am not sure what needs to be checked on "modern" batteries.

Was factory applied to new cars when they were built and put into stock/storage until sold. The decal allowed the storage the facility to know when the battery should be checked.

@volvo again... It's fitted to the glass for easy viewing, there's no glass under the bonnet to apply it to...
