Removed a carrier bag full of compost and semi rotted leaves from the (frankly ridiculous) voids over the rear of each front wing !
A near impossible job. Anyone else tried this ?
Also....
Clayed the paintwork and carbon sealed the glass then peanut-buttered the roof bars, lower screen panel and side trims.
Coming together now...

Yes. A powerful hoover with a narrow attachment on the end that fits snug into the gap works well.

So I thought I'd tackle the leaves in the wing voids today. Started pulling them out then got a big shock when something moved! It was a 3cm long bug that seemed to be living in there - identified now as a female Giant Diving Beetle. Hmmm. Have now released it in a nearby pond where I am sure it will be much happier...!

Just a quick top-up of screen wash & went back inside to get out of the bitter cold breeze...

Got my car washed now that they're back open (jet washer & hand sponge).

I hand washed it myself recently (with a car brush with a hose attachment) & it come out well to be fair, but not as clean as the car wash I don't think.

I haven't got all the products the car washes use like wax etc. I think £4 for a sparkling clean car isn't too bad every so often. Plus it keeps my drive clean, as the last time I washed it, dirt was falling off onto the block paving & that had to be cleaned up!

Checked fluid levels, treated her to some Texaco Premium Diesel & went for a motorway drive (40 mile round trip).

Hoovered out the front wing gardens, not bad at all really, I thought the hole went all the way down to the bottom, but I seem to have a foam shaped 'garden bung'
Also discovered I have a 'technicians dip stick, so will be getting a real one, once I have checked the mounting hole is actually threaded.

My local indi changed the transmission fluid, reset the adaptions & reset the fluid counter.

I also had the engine carbon cleaned with hydrogen. Its now much more responsive & the gear shifts are noticeably better.
