Hi, I have a 2014 XC90 and the drivers manual seat adjust, the plastic has snapped in half now. Part number says 30697089RH but I cannot find this part number anywhere on Ebay etc. Any ideas where to get one (cream interior so its a brown colour)? I saw one on ebay that seems to fit a wide variety of models and looks v similar 39996517-PM10 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-V...k/284173253368

Any ideas if it would fit ?

Thanks for your help!

I Googled that part number and got a few hits but no actual parts available

Have you tried your friendly local Volvo dealer?

Cheers

PS My replaced item (Exec model) is still holding up after (exactly) another year.

Thanks, I tried the South London website for Volvo but no hits, interesting that it’s also for a V70 in the thread you posted. Much appreciated, Andrew

For my second replacement I bought a driver's side panel for a non-exec model, which was much cheaper (@£20). I think it arrived from Poland.

Had to cut out a hole for the massage seat switch panel which my Exec has.
Then reinforced the rear with metal strips where the first two cracked then broke, then fibre glass - doesn't look pretty, but it's hidden when fitted

Just a thought, but if you have manual adjustment seats, broaden your search to include LHD versions as the passenger seat side panel should fit your driver's side.

Jut give them a call and ask for a price. Mine (non Exec) was EUR 11.- last time I needed one... It won't get any cheaper than that.

If you don't have a Volvo dealership near you (or no one wants to ship) take a look at Skandix, they do sell it, but it's normally the dealership price plus Skandix "fee" so more around EUR 17.- than EUR 11.- plus shipping.

Default How to fit !! Manual version

Hi , I got the part from Volvo Chiswick for just £14. Tried to fit it and undid the T15 screw at the end but cannot work out how to fit the black manual seat adjust handle through the narrow hole on the panel nor if it needs to come off first? Cant see an easy way to remove it but I must be missing something !

Again, any advice greatly received.

Default Side panel

Hi. Did anyone post a solution for fitting a new panel? Mine broke, so I repaired it and found that I can't get it back on. Many thanks. Steve

Im 6'5" and a shade under 20 stones, and over the course of 3 x XC90s have broken one yet...though one wonders if I've just tweaked the nose of fate by saying that.

I've heard that the panel isn't actually terribly expensive to buy from the dealer. If I were to replace one now I would probably Sikaflex some alloy strips inside at strategic points to beef it up.

You may be tall enough to not "catch" the side panel as you slide in.

I am the same weight, but a couple of inches shorter, and have broken one panel, which was already cracked when I bought the car.

Unfortunately, as my car is an exec, it's the expensive (£75+) variety...

Fortunately, the one I fitted almost 2 years ago is still OK.

Cheers

Dave
