Default Door handle lights

Hi,

I have a 2007 S80...

Is there supposed to be lights that illuminate the door handles in the dark? I find it odd how the window switches for example are lit, but none of the door handles are.

I'm used to the position of the handle in fairness, so its not a big deal really. Although, I think it'd be a nice feature to have all the same when its really dark outside in a poorly lit area.

Is it just a case of fitting a bulb to each door, assuming wiring is already in place? Or do they have to be wired first & bulbs need fitting afterwards (another words, its not a standard option)?

Vparts do a kit, but have suspended shipping to the UK due to brexit.

Buy the bits from Volvo and see the VolvoSweden video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVsdIrakIUk
Same job but using Volvo's own parts and not aftermarket parts.

I fitted the volvo parts to my S80 Cost me about £40 I think, 2 bulb holders,2 LED's and the wiring plugs/looms! Very easy to fit! I only put them on the front doors!

Some cars have this illumination from factory, some don't. We have two XC70. the 2012 doesn't have illuminated door handles. The 2016 does, and also have illuminated front cup holder.

You can also get the kit for the cup holder from Volvo! I fitted one to my car! VOLVOSWEDEN on You-Tube has a very easy to follow video on how to fit!
