Smile Plugin Hybrids at 30% of Volvo sales

Just seen this in auto express - XC40 sales massively up in 2020 with 1 in 3 Volvos sold being plugin hybrids in Europe, with that figure 20% globally.

An interesting sub-question for the PHEV owners would be whether it is a company car or privately owned.
Given the tax advantages of PHEVs due to the low BIK rate they are often a no-brainer for company car drivers but only make sense to private buyers if the vast majority of journeys are within the electric-only range, given the higher purchase price.
