It had a tyre pressure module fitted at a main dealer recently and they didn't mention anything?

Don't do anything physical to the car until you have plugged in VIDA and read the current state.

Only then do you have hard factual data to work with

Ah, when stationary and revving right at the end of climb in RPM there is a sort of a whistle

The turbo charger makes a whistle, very soft, high pitched, and not so easy to hear

Complete guess here - but it could be an intercooler leak, any smoke when giving it the beans?

First thing to do is get a stop watch and see what it does 0-60 in. It should be 7.6 seconds for the V70 from google (that sounds rapid to me). Now you can’t replicate the timing accuracy on a phone by any stretch, however you should be accurate to a second or so over that time. So I would be looking for a 0-60 time of 6.6-8.6 seconds to show the car is operating as it should. If you are outside of those times then there is something different.

If it is getting to 60 in less than 8.6 seconds on your stop watch I would suggest there is nothing you could do. If however it’s taking more than 8.6 seconds then you know there is a problem with the vehicle as you should be able to time it with that level of accuracy.

Fuel filter change made a noticable difference on my D5 S80. Maybe worth a try.

I'll check the history for when it was last completed. If a while I'll get it changed.

Change it anyway.

Not unknown for a garage to charge for this but not do it. How would you know if you haven't done it yourself?
