Sensus restarting itself

Thanks chaps. Used fm and dab today, with no issues, strangle is only done it twice and both were from a campsite in the middle of nowhere. Only twice did I leave campsite this weekend besides today and both times it had issues.

I have a 70 plate v90, actually had its PDI in jan 20 so maybe a late 2019 build. I have also noticed sensus rebooting 2-3 times before it (sensus) starts up. Generally when cold and I think I had entered an address in the nav.

So there will be a recall in June which should fix this? It’s a niggle but given covid, I’ve not fetched it back to the dealer yet.

Crashbarrier reported being told by his dealer there would be an official recall to install updated software.

It's also possible that it won't be an official recall (as it's not safety-related) and updated software will be installed as part of next routine servicing.

In the meantime starting the car with FM radio rather than DAB radio seems to provide a workaround.

The software update from Volvo is out and about and was installed in our car yesterday. Time will tell if it has solved the issue for good.
It isn't a recall so you will have to book it in yourself if you want to have it done, all under warranty.

I am using that June update in my car I didn't have problem with sensus but sort my lag in gearbox

That's interesting to know. They did say that they had loaded all the latest updates as well as the Sensus one. Our D4 is so sluggish pulling away and would be made worse if we didn't habitually turn off Stop/Start(which is hit and miss anyway). The next time I drive it I'll try and see if there is a difference.

I asked them to reset gearbox setting when they were doing my update as that was advised by Volvo customer support crew.

What they said to me was that from now car will start learning again style of my driving and i have to agree with them as car perform much better that used to. Still is some lag on gearbox but sufficient improvement if compare to the car before update.
