Default Headlamp Switch Illumination

Does anyone know if the headlamp switch is meant to light up on the 850. Only the green light on mine works, was wondering if there is a bulb inside which has gone.

Cheers Steve

Well took the switch unit out today and noticed there were two twist out bulbs in the back of it. Changed these and the headlight symbol and sidelight symbol now light up. I guess that is all there is thats illuminated on this switch

Not sure I got the ones from Maplins at £1 each, was a quick fix too, about 5minutes all together.

I just popped the blank out next to it with a key down the side, then use our finger to push the switch out the dash, it just clips in.

With the standard bulbs fitted to switches, you will see a screwdriver slot in the back of the bulb, gently twist anti clockwise about 15 degrees till it stops and remove, it's a bit like a bayonet type action.
Sorry just twigged you are renewing the the bulb in the headlamp switch, thats a bit differant DOHHH!

Thanks, got it out.
Volvo charge £2.80 for a pair of the two small bulbs... Not bad, although they are cheaper at Maplins.

Thanks again Steve

(I hope were talking about the same part here - I'm sure we are)
