Drip from rear ceiling trim after washing rear window.
After washing my rear window yesterday while driving, I noticed water dripping into the boot from between the plastic trim and the fabric of the ceiling lining.
Yesterday the car was quite well frozen when I got in (even the boot lid wouldn't open) as it was well below freezing out but after 45 minutes of driving it was nice and warm and the rear washer was clearly working - maybe not as efficiently as it could have but it did the job. This was when I noticed the leak. What's a sensible starting point to investigate what's going on back there? Any suggestions would be very welcome. |

Leaks have been known around the hinge brackets where the go through the body. Some put sealant around them to prevent it.
More extreme solution is adding a rubber strip across top of body to move water to sides. |

I suggest removing the trim to examine the rear washer pipework and any connections.

it could just be the condensation that formed on the inside roof of the car, has frozen, then thawed out as the car warmed up, and its made it's way out. Saw a long dribble on my lovely's Fiat 500 windscreen, on the inside the other day, in similar circumstances. I can't believe the pipe froze and split, as it gets much much colder in Sweden.
