Default D5 starts, runs then cuts out when driving

Hi I have 2001 V70 D5 with 170,000 on the clock. It will start and idle for hours and will rev up high. When I drive it goes for say 100 yards then cuts out. It will start immediately and then can drive off and repeat same cut out.
I have had 2 AA call outs and they both said error 2505 rail pressure plausibility leakage and deviation.
I have changed the fuel rail pressure sensor with a used part said to be working and I tested it for about half a mile and was ok.
I then tried to drive it again a couple of days later and the old cut out issue started again.
I've read about changing the fuel filter or to test by bypassing the fuel pump relay.
Any help as to where to start as although car is very good condition and too good to scrap, it is not worth spending much on.
cheers

As already stated change the fuel filter and if no change get it on a scanner or better still plug it in to Vida and try to pinpoint the fault b4 throwing loads of money on unnecessary items
