The only real issues I've had with the Porsche have been envy damage: a nail deliberately pushed into the sidewall of a tyre about a year ago, and a couple of weeks ago these three little jabs at the rear light cluster:

... none would result in a MoT test failure as there is no white light showing, but there are three cracks inside so I've decided to change it. New Porsche prices are steep (£170+VAT each side) but I managed to get an as new pair for £200 delivered and can sell the right one on easily for £100.

I hardly ever leave the Boxster parked on a public road, and it is always garaged at night, but I'm afraid envy damage is something one has to live with...

:-(
Thats a horrible thing to happen,

It will be interesting to see what this one makes, it is a 1979 244 auto, as rough as a badger's arse, but everything has a value:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203527041...gAAOSwJNBg6dsw

... it has a bit of a ropey MoT history (and no test for a couple of years, it no longer needs one, but I don't think it would pass). The mileage is pretty suspect, according to the MoT history it has only done a hundred or so miles per year for the past decade or more, so my guess is the previous owner has been disconnecting the speedometer cable after the Mot test each year (I remember that was quite a common thing to do back in the day).

Everything has a value though - my guess is £1,800 for this one. At that price it could be brought back from the dead and made a nice running project for a grand or so as long as it doesn't need any welding.

:-)

Last time this was listed the seller said the mileage was 58505 but the photos showed 58509, same as this one does. I can't remember what the bidding got up to last time but odd it's had a 3-4 month hiatus.

That car is Holy Grail terrotory though Alan! Wouldn't be surprised if it makes double what it's currently at although i think £50-55k is more realistic.

Hugely overpriced.
Beloved by the PlayStation generation, but ultimately disappointing when assessed outside of the cult.

I can see why you say that but i'm not of the PS generation (thankfully!) and appreciate the car for what it is, one of (maybe the first) the first Japanese 16v EFi engines with an insane rev limit and a very wide power band, exceptional roadholding and went like stink. I owned the previous gen Corolla 1.6SR Coupe with two twin choke Hitachi downdraught carbs on it, that also went like stink, held the road well and was surpringly economical for what was essentially a sports car. On a few long runs i got ~48mpg and wasn't hanging around either!

The one linked to above was all of what mine was and more and as the listing says, try finding one that isn't modified!

Each to their own though but if i win the lottery tomorrow, i might consider buying that one except it's red!

I notice the Turdmobile still has not sold on Car and Classic (still £2,950 - I suppose prices will catch up with it is 3 or 4 years).

:-)

It's still up for £3250 in Practical Classics as well Alan!

Had my insurance renewal for the 760 through the other day, cars value stated at £750 which it would have been when i bought it. Probably 4 times that now the way prices have gone so might have to get them to change that.
