Anyone get a rear reverse camera fitted?
Anyone get a rear reverse camera fitted by official Volvo dealers?
My car is a volvo s90 and did not come with a reverse camera, having second thoughts getting one installed as I was reading the installation instruction, there is lots of stripping happening, taking off seats, panels, bumpers, seatbelts, accelerator pedal, hardwire fuse, and complex cabling. My car is working fine as it is and Im worried I might get problems after installation including the sensus crashing |

Had mine done at dealer, rear camera only.
MY17 S90. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. Camera works exactly as other Volvo's and have never dedtected the slightest knock or rattle. It's a £1,000 list price, but at the time there was an offer and I paid £700 (inc VAT). It's an awful lot but in my eyes has made parking easier when estimating the curb. You still have to estimate, but much easier to do so with the guide lines. I'd say go for it |

I had the dealer fit a reversing camera to my previous S90. It is indeed a lot of work and cost £1000 but I wouldn't be without one. You might be able to shop around for a better price. Should always have been fitted as standard, as it is now. I had no problems following the work.

My C70 doesn’t have satnav or touch screen, so i did the reverse camera thing DIY. I bought a cheapo Chinese satnav with a 7” screen, which came with a wireless reverse camera.
I installed it in the dash top opening where the pop-up satnav would have been, and put the camera above the rear number plate. Works fine, and cost me less than £40 all in, plus a few hours head scratching and work.

Retro Fit OEM Reverse Camera
Morning!
I had mine done recently on my 2019 V90. No issues with the fitting etc and it works like a charm. I cannot believe it isn't standard on such a long vehicle!

I like to think I got a good deal at £600.
It feels expensive but I'm working on the basis that if I reverse into somethiong a new rear bumper etc will be significantly more! The fish eye takes some getting used to and becasue of the camera angle objects appear further than they are - reverse slowly at first! The only thing it doesn't stop is idiots opening doors on the bodywork in car parks....but that is a different story.
