Leak under car
My son's V50 Powershift has a leak somewhere towards the rear. He has seen what looks like a pile of 'snot' hanging down. He also mentions thin pipes? presumably something to do with the exhaust?
We are having a hell of a job trying to get a garage to have a look at it. Cannot get a booking until March. Not a lot to go on I know but any help would be appreciated. P.S. Possibly something to do with the DPF system? My car doesn't have the Eolys additive system. Brian

When you say rear, do you mean rear of car or rear of engine?
If it's rear of the car, it could be oil leaking from a shock absorber, or possibly brake fluid leaking from a brake line. If it's from the rear of the engine, it could be any number of things. If so, I'd be parking it over sheets of clean paper and seeing if it looks like oil, or another fluid like coolant/brake fluid etc |

the only way is to get under have a look drive up half on to a high kerb if you dont have any other way this will allow you to see and give more info and allow you to know if the garage is charging for the correct repair..
