SRS - Airbag Service Urgent
Hi there.
I have read several of the other threads on the forum regarding this but none cover the specifics of my problem. After removing the centre console (stereo etc) to remove the cd multichanger in my 2004 D5 Geartronic I now have a service message showing in the messages window telling me 'SRS - Airbag Service Urgent' The Airbag Warning Light goes out when the engine is started but I cannot get rid of this message. Have I dislodged something do you think, or have I done some damage. Can anyone advise how to reset this message without going to Volvo? Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer |

Yes the seat belt buckles go through the climate unit and you must have unplugged the climate plugs with power on . The only way to get the light out is a reset at the dealer . Always disconnect battery when disconnecting anything on the car or this kind of thing can happen ..

If you're ever in west london, I'll happily reset it for free.
The dealer wanted £125 just to look at it.

Thaught I'd post an update for any volvo owner / drivers out there who live in the Runcorn / Widnes area of Cheshire. Took my XC90 into the local garage that I have used for a number of years today and they reset my 'SRS - Airbag Service Urgent' warning message for the grand total of £20.
Would definately recomend to anyone. Electromec Picow Farm Road Runcorn Cheshire WA7 4UN Tel: 01928 566660 Also recomended a local repairer who should be able to sort out my CD Multi-Changer problem, and said would re-reset any warning messages resulting from using the car with the multi-changer removed whilst being repaired for free What more could you ask for! |

Uxbridge huh? I work at Heathrow control tower. I park my car in the NCP car park 1A (terminal 1) everyday. If you bring your XC to car park 1A, I can hook up and do a reset. PM me and we'll arrange something
