Have decided this is what I'm going to do now. She's booked in for some modifications next week and will also get a full healthcheck while she's there! I guess even if I do the bits to this car, then a black one turns up, it will be pretty easy to sell this red one because not only will it be in mint condition but it will have been taken a bit further (miltek catback / rica304 / poly top mount / all new goodyear F1's / fully detailed etc)

After the appointment with VT next week, it need to have the front splitter / bumper resprayed or possibly replaced if the rumours are true that it's around the same price. Then I just need to find a good detailer in the NW London area and it will be minto! I'll be sure to keep this thread updated. |

OK perhaps not the update I was planning to post buuuuut.............. if I wanted to buy the black 850R mentioned earlier in the thread, is there anybody around the Newcastle area who knows these cars and would be willing to go and take a good look for me?
I'd obviously pay for this as I guess this would be better than going down the RAC / AA inspection route. I'd like to get it checked first because it's about 300 miles travel for me, I don't want to make the journey if it's got some major problems which mean I wouldn't buy it. |

Black 850R
Just to let you know I bought the black 850R mentioned earlier and it is spot on. The only thing it needed was a wheel refurb. The bodywork/interior is all 100% and the brakes are fine also. Sorry Carpy but you missed a good one!

Yeah I'd seen a post of yours somewhere else! Nicely done sir.
I still think I made the right decision though because mine has been running like a dream for 3 months now, and my friends have said if it was black they would think I was an undertaker driving a hearse! Welcome to the club mate! |

Thanks Carpy. I like to think of it as mortuary chic myself! I have to say traveling 350 odd miles to get it was not something I'd normally do, but the gamble seems to have paid off. I hope I'm still feeling the same three months down the line

Ah so you're nearby then? Perhaps a mini 850R meet is on the cards!!! I hope it's all good for you anyway. Remember to buy shares in Shell!
