Inscription standered specs

Hi

I was at Volvo dealership today and was chatting with the salesperson, he said inscription model no more comes with standard Leather Instrument Panel and Door Tops and now it's an extra cost. Just checked the configuration on Volvo website and it is £1150 extra specs.
It's looks this change has gone under the radar. Please be aware of it if you in the market for an inscription model

Good spot, interesting. I actually thought that that was one of the differenciators for Inscription.. R-Design gets the sporty black headlining, sports seats, etc and Inscription gets the more 'luxurious' additional leather etc..

Question what you would actually be getting for the extra money then.

I noticed on the configurator a few weeks ago that you can select it but it doesn't increase the final price - then it vanishes and you can't unselect it as an option. I assumed it was a bug in the website.

My Inscription order says it's included, so I'm going with that.

It still has the funny behaviour you described. I would hope its not being taken away as it starts to de-value the extra cost of the Inscription in the first place.

If it turns out to become and added cost, I wonder if Volvo are struggling to make the car very profitable as it looks like they are trying to find many ways of clawing back additional revenue.

Surely, if so they need to be increasing the price in the US not UK. We are paying substantially more.

Interesting, placed our order on sunday (momentum) and the dealer was talking about the inscription with the leather tops. Doesnt sounds like its been communicated very well if there has been a change.

Does seem very odd to me, if it weren't for Basoom being told this by a sales person, I'd put my money on a glitch with the configurator. Might try downloading the latest price list from the Volvo UK site and see what that says.

The brochure i have from sunday doenst show it as a separate item (Edition 3 MY17)

I have the leather dash and door tops as an extra on my momentum.

The dash looks nice, but I find the stitching on the door tops a bit scratchy on my arm when I have bare arms and am resting my right arm on the door top.

Given the chance I would probably not spec it again (even if it was free) for this reason alone.
