What I did today.... Went to jack the car up, had a nasty accident where the car came off the jack because the jack got stuck in a crank in the drive, destroyed the cooling fan and radiator!

Sometimes you can't win for losing. ...not the most satisfying of expressions, but ain't it the truth?

My drive is large sections of poured concrete with only a few gaps. And of course EVERY TIME I jack the car up, a gap is there to impede me.

I have pieces of plywood at the ready for when this happens.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your kind words! Never had this happen before in all the years I've jacked cars up, must've just been slightly bad placement, I guess now is a good time to finally fix the leaking intercooler...

Another years MOT with no issues. Couldn't say that about many 17 year old cars

today I found a replacement headlight complete for £40 on ebay .. blimey

I have a slight scratch on one and the other is misting a bit.. i was just gonna put up with it assuming they are like £400 the pair.. but for that money I'll pop off the glass, replace the scratched one, and while I've got the bumper off I'll take the other one apart, dry it out and re-seal it

seems simple enough, I'll comment later with loads of moaning and cursing if it turns out to be awkward in some unexpected way

(original glass type)

if anyone has things to avoid or best methods for disassembly I'm all ears. im assuming it's a case of removing the metal clips and carefully prising it off evenly all round

In put the reflective windscreen cover on to protect leather seats from the intense sun, then went out on the bus!

Default Horns

Finally got round to installing Hella Sharptone horns.

Easy job with the bumper off.

that looks really cool but what's the advantage just out of curiosity, are they a lot louder, or just sound nicer... ?

louder and honkier? I felt like the stock horn was a bit toot tooty.

I actually haven't had a opportunity to use them in anger on the road yet.

Bonus points at they are a nice Swedish blue and yellow colour.
