Default Drivers door mirror hit forward..

Some fool has clipped my door mirror, so it’s now facing outwards, quite obviously not where it’s meant to be. I’ve tried moving it, and whilst I don’t think it’s stuck, it’s requiring an amount of force I’m not comfortable with.

Is there some secret magic to get it back to where it should be?

Thanks in advance.

So, I took the wing mirror off to see what the issue was

It had been pushed so far forward, it was impossible to get back into position because of the shape of the mirror

Whatever had hit this hit it wish such a force, it had actually split the plastic case the surrounds the gear and motor for folding the mirrors in

Fortunately, it had popped the clips on the case rather than breaking it

Put it all back together but my battery had depleted before I’d a chance to test it

I may have to take it all apart again depending on where the position of the gearing is
