Default Towbar Electrics - Stopped Working

Purchased my XC60 last June and found it great for towing my caravan last summer.

Collected the caravan from storage on Saturday and noticed a warning on the dash about the (caravan) brake lights having failed. All other lights worked fine.

Having checked the caravan's brake lights tonight they are fine. So connected caravan to car again to check lights. None of the caravan lights worked at all. So I unplugged the 13 pin from the car and put some power down the appropriate pins and the caravan lights are fine.

So there seems to be a problem with the 13 pin socket on the car not receiving the appropriate feeds from the cars electrical system. But why should some of the feeds have been fine on Saturday and yet they have all failed tonight?

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Chris
