Smile Coatbridge Meeting- Sunday 24th May 2009

The next meeting of the Scottish Section will take place on Sunday 24th May at the Sumerlee Heritage Museum, Heritage Way, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, ML5 1QD, at 13:00.
All members are invited to attend, to view the museum, (optional), and have the normal car 'chat'. There is a cafe open at this venue for refreshments.
Make a note in your diary, come along and meet old friends, make new ones, let everyone see your 'pride and joy', (and your car !!), and generally have a good afternoon out.
Hoping for another good turnout,
Cheers,
Kevin.

All things being equal, we will be there to show off the latest 960 purchase (provided Martin gets polishing ...).

Sadly as unemployment still rules the roost here there will be just the one car coming along this time. Martin is currently washing/polishing/fixing bits etc (on the hunt for brownie points) so it should look good on the day.

would this be the car you were showing my father?? sounds lovely from what he told me on the way home

Kev, looking pretty good for me at this point in time for coming to this.

glt immobilised at present but should be back together by the end of the month. Currently has no clutch pipe or hose but slave cylinder is putting up a fight. drop links, diff plate to fit... clutch is the important one.

should be a good meet this one me thinks

Nick

Nick, it the same one (from good old eBay).

It turned out not quite so nice and needs some bits fixing. It has been parked up in the open and the sun roof was not fully shut. Quite wet under foot and a bit mouldy inside but by cracking the whip over Martrin (340dood) it is coming good. I am sure he will have it smart for the meet (or else ).

ahh right. shame about that then, is it a case of cleaning/ feeding leather and shampooing mould from carpets/ removing them to dry out?

still at the end of the day a 960 is a nice car anyway!

good on martin! have a feeling ill be entrusted with valeting dads new car if/when he gets it...
